Upon notification of an available cadaveric donor, INCUCAI starts procurement process. Once brain death is confirmed, the different organs are allocated, according to a national waiting list. The center where transplant will be carried out, is in charge of the donor´s organ ablation, while other team of professionals of the same center starts preparing the recipient. An hepatic transplant surgery lasts in general between 6 to 8 hours.

Life quality of the transplanted patient significantly improves; most of them lead a completely normal life.
